Northern Uganda

Koro Farmstay is a place where sustainable living becomes a lived experience.
Located in the Koro–Gulu region of Northern Uganda, we combine organic agriculture, traditional knowledge, community learning, and eco-tourism to create a farmstay that nourishes people, land, and livelihoods.

Here, sustainability is not a concept—it is a way of life.

Live Simply. Grow Naturally. Learn Deeply.

At Koro Farmstay, visitors and community members experience farming and living systems designed to work with nature, not against it.

We demonstrate how healthy food, resilient livelihoods, and meaningful travel can grow from:

  • Respect for the land

  • Locally adapted seeds and crops

  • Low-input, organic farming methods

  • Shared knowledge and community values

Whether you are a farmer, traveler, student, or partner, Koro Farmstay invites you to slow down, learn, and reconnect.

Original Seeds

Original or traditional seeds, often referred to as heirloom or open-pollinated seeds, are seeds that have been passed down through generations and have not been genetically modified or hybridized in laboratories.

Sustainable Agriculture

Our farm is a living demonstration of organic and regenerative agriculture suited to smallholder and community realities.

We practice:

  • Farming without pesticides or artificial fertilisers

  • Natural soil fertility building

  • Mixed cropping and biodiversity

  • Seed saving and local adaptation

  • Integrated farming systems

These methods protect soil health, reduce costs, and produce safe, nutritious food—while remaining affordable and replicable.
